Top 12 Christian Rock Bands

Since I was young, I've always enjoyed music. Throughout my life, I've had a very wide variety of tastes. I've liked everything from rap to hip hop to instrumental music to rock. In fact, some of my most treasured friends are the ones who introduced me to a particular band. I still remember them quite clearly for doing it.

At a couple of points in my life, I decided to only listen to Christian music for awhile. Since I teach music lessons and know how to play many instruments, I actually began playing and teaching praise and worship alone. However, eventually I branched out and began widening my taste and teaching any and all kinds of music.

Christian music has many different genres from pop to soft rock to heavy metal. I was exposed to nearly everything and these are the bands I liked the most because of their musical and lyrical abilities. I've been to hundreds of concerts and I've met most of them and seen most of them in concert, where they were excellent.

If you're a Christian or just want some biblical inspiration, please enjoy listening to the top 12 Christian rock bands. Just for the sake of this list, I'm not listing Switchfoot, P.O.D., Luna Halo or Creed, but I feel they actually are or were Christian bands now in the mainstream.
