I’ve been fascinated with John Boehner’s last name. In the English language, "Bo" and "Boe" is pronounced "bow" and it’s never pronounced "bay". I can only imagine John Boehner was relentlessly teased as a child because he name was pronounced "boner", which is slang for a male erection. It was around that time that he probably changed the pronunciation to "bay-ner".
